About
Our Mission
Value Added Solutions, Inc. is the “Company of Choice” for our employees and clients. We achieve this outcome through a company-wide focus on understanding and meeting our client’s expectations (Quality Service), hiring and facilitating diversity in the workplace and providing “best in class” benefits and compensation for our employees. We provide integrity and ethics, mutual trust, respect, and honest and transparent communications.
Our History
Value Added Solutions, Inc. (VAS) was established in 2005 to provide technical support to the Department of Energy (DOE) by providing Safeguards & Security, Information Technology, Emergency Management, and other services at the Savannah River Site (SRS) in Aiken South Carolina.
Since opening, our Corporate Office in Aiken, SC has provided professional and technical staff augmentation support to the DOE and other Major SRS contractors, including Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC. (SRNS), Savannah River Remediation, LLC. (SRR) and Parsons Salt Waste Processing Facility.
VAS opened the doors to our first field office in 2012 to support the cleanup and reindustrialization efforts at the Eastern Tennessee Technology Park. Through a contract award made by DOE-OR prime contractor URS/CH2M Oak Ridge, LLC (UCOR); VAS provides professional, engineering, information technology, and administrative services. This regional office also serves as the hub for all our activities with employees and clients in the East Tennessee region.
Also, in 2012 VAS opened our second regional office in Piketon, Ohio to support the Decontamination & Decommission efforts of Fluor B&W Portsmouth, LLC at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. In selecting our location, VAS chose The Ohio University South Centers: Endeavor Center due to the close proximity to our employees at the project site and to financially support the Endeavor Center’s small business incubation program through an Anchor Business Partnership. Through local activities, this office serves to promote business development and client engagement throughout the entire northeastern US region.
With a strong presence in the eastern United States, VAS expanded our operations in 2020 to include regional offices in Richland, Washington to manage and support our ongoing efforts at the Hanford site, and Carlsbad, New Mexico supporting Nuclear Waste Partnership’s mission at the Waste Isolation Treatment Plant.
VAS continues to grow within the energy industrial complex through long-standing performance with our clients and a strong reputation for supporting and empowering our team.
